The Punjabi short film genius Navtej Sandhu is all set to direct his first ever feature film titled Jamraud – The Ford!
He shared his excitement on social media by sharing a picture with the writer of the film S. Waryam Singh Sandhu.
EVIDENT FROM HIS POST, JAMRAUD WILL BE A HINDI FEATURE FILM BASED ON PUNJABI CULTURE AND LIFESTYLE.
By the way for all those who don’t know, Jamruud fort is a fort at the mouth of the Khyber Pass. In 1836, soon after Dussehra, Hari Singh Nalwa conquered Jamrud which meant that the Sikhs could launch attack against Kabul anytime. This victory created history in the coming days which presumably will be shown through the eyes of the Director of this film.
Navtej Sandhu’s recent work Bakaya and Gawachi Pagg have got him global acclaim and let’s hope that this leap in his career is a positive one!
