Rakesh Mehta, the director of Harish Verma starrer Vaapsi, is all set to start his next project titled 'Rangla Punjab'. This one is an action ovie showcasing the chase between a police officer and a gangster.
The lead star cast has been finalised as Kartar Cheema, who will be playing the role of a gangster and Deep Sidhu, the police officer. The other starcast includes veterans like Hobby Dhaliwal and Ashish Duggal who have a major role in the movie.
The title of the movie doesn’t match the story line, as it portrays a happy & beautiful Punjab but the storyline shows that this film is about the darker side of Punjab. Upon asking about the reason for this, the director elaborated that the title is still a tentative one and it might be changed in near future.
The movie shall release next year but the date isn’t decided yet. 'Rangla Punjab' would be shot in two schedules. One of them shall start from 29th November and will be a 20 day long shoot. The movie would be shot completely in Punjab .
